BizTalk Server 2020 on the Horizon for 2019

by Dan Probert

Talking to some of our customers and other attendees at Integrate 2019 in London over the last couple of days, Paul Larson’s announcement that the next version of BizTalk Server 2020 will be released in 2019 was very well received. While many are moving assertively to the cloud, there is still significant investment in BizTalk. Consequently today’s announcement demonstrated Microsoft’s commitment to the product, giving those waiting for more cloud maturity some breathing space.

BizTalk Server 2020 will be enabled to play more of a role in the cloud landscape with new functions to support possibilities for Hybrid Integration. Paul discussed the integration of BizTalk Server and Cloud with adapters for Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hubs, API Management, O365 Mail, O365 Schedule, O365 Contact, and Blob Storage.  He then went on to announce the BizTalk Server Migration tool that can support moving older versions of BizTalk Server to IaaS or a VM in Azure.

If you want to talk to us about your BizTalk or Hybrid plans, we can provide a full strategic, technical, and cost assessment service, along with a detailed migration planning service. As a BizTalk, Azure and Hybrid consultancy, we can support you in designing and implementing your plans.

For more detailed information see the write-up from the conference.
